Dirk Graham was the first African-Canadian to ever be named a captin of a NHL team. He later coached the Chicago blackhawks 1998-99. He was awarded with the Frank J. Selke Trophy for outstading defensive player. I think it was great to see a African-Canadian playing hockey.
